A liberal education
Education at Sidcot does not stop with the end of afternoon classes. It even goes beyond our commitment to creative personal development activities, such as sport, music, art and drama.
The Quaker emphasis on ‘letting your life speak’ means that the effect of every aspect of the school has been carefully considered, so that every facet of school life can teach a lesson.
Nothing about Sidcot should degrade or humiliate any individual or their religious beliefs. Tolerance and a concern for the feelings of others are encouraged at every opportunity.
There is a wide range of clubs, societies and interest groups with more than sixty different groups meeting on a weekly or fortnightly basis each term. At weekends there are sports fixtures, walks, dances, lectures, outings, concerts and religious meetings. All these occasions provide opportunities for learning and for the development of interests and friendships.
