External Examination Centre

Sidcot is an open centre for GCE examinations and approved for the following Examining Boards: AQA, OCR, WJEC and Edexcel.  We also accept external candidates for Bmat, TSA and STEP (please see below*).

We can accept external candidates for any subject offered by those boards provided no practical component or coursework is involved.

How to apply for an examination

Entries can be posted to the Examination Office approximately four months in advance of the exam by filling in the application form and supplying a cheque made payable to Sidcot School.

Fees for an examination

The fee for sitting an examination at Sidcot, includes a one-off registration charge of £50.00, plus the entry fee applicable to the exam board and a Sidcot administration fee which is equal to the amount of the entry fee. The entry fee can be found on the appropriate website below:

There is no application form or entry fee for TSA but we will charge for invigilation. We need the course you are applying for and your UCAS number to enter you. The website is www.tsa.cambridgeassessment.org.uk

ELAT is similar to TSA. The website is www.elat.org.uk
