Sidcot Junior School, with its stunning refurbished hall and play area is the perfect preparation for entry to the Senior School at the appropriate age.

junior musicThe National Curriculum forms the basis of the educational programme but we aim to offer much more, catering for the potential of each individual. There are subject specialists in each area and emphasis is given to literacy, numeracy, science and technology as well as music, art, drama and sport. Spoken French is introduced at an early stage and appropriate homework activities consolidate learning in all areas.

Small classes and a caring ethos are vital ingredients in maintaining enthusiasm for learning and encouraging the optimum development of every child. The Junior School is proud of its Christian but non-denominational assemblies to which all the staff and children contribute.

singingThe facilities of Sidcot Senior School are integral to the life of the Junior School. Tremendous benefits are gained from the first rate IT facilities, 25m indoor swimming pool, sports complex, new library and dining room.

Any children with special needs, or those who require individual music and drama lessons also benefit from Sidcot’s highly qualified staff. Additional charges for the specialist one-to-one lessons are kept to a minimum.

A range of out of school activities and clubs are available, as is an excellent after school care facility, for children whose parents cannot collect them at the end of the normal school day.
