Education from 3 -18
Sidcot values the formal and informal bonds that make it a real community. It is a fairly small school - about 390 in the Senior School and 140 in the Junior School - with small teaching groups and family orientated boarding houses. We have put deliberate limits on our size to ensure pupils and staff have time to develop good working relationships and children are given the individual attention they need, preserving the special nature of the school.
The structure of the school, the curriculums and the learning ethos have been specifically designed to encouarage our children to gain a love for learning and to encourage them to become independent learners. From as early as Nursery the children engage in a full school day along with their Junior peers, the transition to Senior school is also eased in gently through lessons taken by Senior school subject specialists, activties, Prep and tea after school in the refectory.
