Higher Education & Careers

At Sidcot we aim to provide Careers and Higher Education guidance that successfully meets the needs of our students. We work closely with the Independent Schools Careers Organisation (ISCO) and the local Careers Service.

In Years 10 and 11 students receive careers lessons to introduce them to the many aspects of careers education. Year 10 students benefit greatly from a week of work experience in a business or other environment. Students in Year 11 receive a considerable amount of individual advice about their post-16 options. They also have the opportunity to join ISCO's assessment and support scheme.

Students in the Sixth Form (Years 12 & 13) are carefully helped through the process of choosing and applying to universities by our very experienced Higher Education guidance team. We take great pride in the level of support that we give our students with university applications and this includes applications to overseas universities.
